Prison Bus Escape put a refreshing twist on the prison escape theme by setting it on a bus. While this was an old school game with a lot of recognizable tropes, it still felt exciting because of the actor / gamemaster, strong puzzle flow, and entertaining environment.

Ready for a challenge? Our Prison Break escape room is not for the faint of heart! You and your team will have to use all your skills to break out of a 1950s prison and avoid getting caught by the guards. Can you escape in time?

What is the recommended age for your games? We recommend our games for ages 13 and up. We do allow younger players, but some of the game content may be too difficult for them. A paying adult, 18 or older, must participate with anyone that is 14 and under. Also, any participants under the age of 18 will need an adult to sign their waiver.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 48 hours before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 48 hours in advance means losing the value of your experience. The Partner can reschedule games up to 4 hours before your reservation time. Within 4 hours of the start time, the game is not transferable and non-refundable.

Welcome to Prison Break, our most challenging escape room yet. This one's not for the faint of heart - you'll be locked up in a 1950s-style prison and split into two separate cells. To escape, you'll need to work together, solving puzzles and overcoming obstacles along the way. But be careful - the guards are watching, and one wrong move could land you back in your cell for good.

You'll need to be strategic, sneaky, and above all, work together as a team to get out of this prison. You'll navigate through the cells, the prison yard, and even the warden's office. And yes, those are real prison toilets - we've spared no expense in creating a fully immersive experience that will have you feeling like a real inmate.

We recommend our games for ages 13 and up, but we do allow younger players with a paying adult, 18 or older, who must participate with anyone that is 14 and under. Additionally, any participants under the age of 18 will need an adult to sign their waiver.

The Heist room at The Escape Game (NYC) was amazing and one of the best escape rooms I've ever played! We were partnered with four other people who were just as into the game as we were, which made it even more fun. The puzzles were clever and technical, and we had so many "OMG" moments when we solved them. We escaped with 10 minutes to spare! I highly recommend this escape room and any other escape rooms by this company. You won't regret it!

We had a great time as a family of five at The Escape Game in NYC. We were looking for availability on our last day in the city and they were really accommodating. We initially planned to book the playground, but the kids were so excited by the prison break room that we couldn't resist. The room was well-themed and had three parts, which was a pleasant surprise. The whole family enjoyed it and we'd definitely return to any of their escape rooms in the future. Highly recommended for families and people of all ages.

This escape room was a blast! It was an intense experience that fully immersed me in the game, and I've played many escape rooms before. This particular location has become my favorite, and John, our game master, was incredibly helpful. We definitely wouldn't have made it out without him. I can't wait to go back and play again!

Work alone or in collaboration to devise a way to escape from the prison wing ready for the greatest challenge of all. Earn your way to FREEDOM and the right to exit the huge prison gates to the outside world!

A 60 minute escape game set in a real prison. You and your fellow inmates are on death row. The execution chamber is getting prepped. Can you escape the room or will you die under the hands of the executioner?

Your cell mates tipped you off that they have been plotting an escape from somewhere in the infirmary. There have been attempts to escape from the Alcatraz prison but every escape attempt failed and most inmates were either killed or recaptured while others disappeared without a trace.

Birthday party for fourteen mostly 8 and 9 year old girls. The Zero Hour crew gave us a great room for some pre escape pizza and was absolutely awesome at getting the team through the puzzle with just enough help. Super fun for all of them and I suspect most of the kids will be back. My family will for sure. Highly recommended.

I went with my best friend and was literally hooked! We love doing escape rooms but this was something unique and exciting! I could spend hours there working them out, beautifully designed and well thought out puzzles and concept! Staff were lovely and friendly and we will definitely be back again! ?

Great wee experienceWe managed nearly all the cells in the 1 1/2 hrs we booked, well briefed and explained. What was really good was the fact that the diversity of challenges ie numbers, codes, lights, climbing, dexterity, musical etc meant there were 2 or 3 challenges which suited each of our group of x4 best; something for everyone?Would do it again as well, as the challenge next time would be to do all prison cells and complete more challenges.PS one of our group gets claustrophobic and no sign of that at all when doing all the cells! Just really well designed and nice tea room at reception as well ?

A must for belfastHonestly the best thing I have ever done. Can't recommend enough. We did 1.5hrs and could have done longer. Even we're treated to a taste of the axe throwing. Amazing experience. It is Not an escape room it is a series of different challenges

Escape rooms have become a commonplace method of entertainment across the globe. Each one generally gives guests an hour to find their way out of themed rooms by giving critical thinking clues to help the "prisoners" escape their new reality. Themes for these entertaining games range from stories of espionage to crime scene investigations. But by far the most popular theme are those that take inside of prisons.

While most escape rooms host these games in a general vicinity and decorate their escape rooms accordingly, there are those who thrive off authenticity. Which is why there are a handful of escape rooms around the world that are hosted in actual prisons. These abandoned cells create an ominous and creepy atmosphere that adds an extra level of terror to these games. Check out these ten creepy escape rooms held in actual prisons.

John and Logan McMillan, along with their friend Andrew Dean, turned a real-life prison into Crate Escape in Christchurch, New Zealand. Logan and Andrew are award-winning filmmakers who wanted to use the creaky jail cell doors and a creepy atmosphere to their advantage when they had the idea to open an escape room. The 300-square meters of the former courthouse holding cells does just that.

Shepton Mallet Prison was built in 1610 and became known as the oldest prison in the United Kingdom. Behind its walls, prisoners would frequently die of illnesses as there was no real medical treatment. Security was slim and men, women, and children were all placed together. Death sentences were frequently carried out here, with the latest happening in 1945 under the direct order of the military. The jail eventually closed in 2013 and was refashioned into a prison-themed escape room.

The storyline for this room gives players 60 minutes to escape an unencumbered prison, where the guards have all vanished. As death row inmates with no chance for appeal, this is their last shot at freedom.

The former Parnu prison in Scandinavia was turned into an escape room after the jail closed in 2007. This complex is so big that up to 24 people are needed to play the three-hour long game. The rooms are full of puzzles constructed from the prison's most psychotic prisoners.

Visitors comment on the escape room's frightening demeanor, with people of all ages enjoying the challenging clues throughout the prison. Escaping from the depths of this real prison is a sure-fire way to get your adrenaline pumping.
